LONDON, OCTOBER 9, 2022: A novel cultural event and exhibition celebrating the cultural exuberance of the eight states of North East India is being organized at Nehru Centre, London by Women of North East Support Network (WNESN), UK, in collaboration with Nehru Centre, London. The event is slated to start on October 10 and last up to October 14.

The WNESN was formed in 2020 during the pandemic. They are a community-based women’s group who are interested in personal growth and success in all areas of life, not just in careers. “Through our group, we mostly want to help and support each other and the rest of the North-East community. We also want to show off the eight NE states as the unique tourist destinations that they are, and we want to show off the diverse arts and culture of NE India to a wider and international audience.” said a WNESN spokesperson. With this aim in mind, the extravaganza portraying different cultures of the NE will be displayed to intrigue and whet the curiosities of international audiences in the UK.
