Assam criminal slain in police firefight who bragged of murdering 42 murders. On Wednesday evening, one of Assam’s most scared criminals was shot dead in a shootout with police in Sibsagar district. He was suspects of being responsible for many high-profile killings. In the state and claimed to have murdered 42 people over the years.
Bubu Konwar, 43, was charges with several vehicle thefts, drug trafficking, extortion, and abduction for ransom, among other offenses. And had 50 cases filed against him in various districts throughout the state.

According to authorities, the incident occurred when Konwar attempted to escape a police check on a scooter with an accomplice and shot at the officers. His buddy escaped.
In March Konwar was detain in Jorhat and 35 grams of suspected brown sugar were discovered on him, but he escaped on bail.
He was previously got arrest in November 2016 on suspicion of vehicle theft. That’s when he confessed to television cameras that he was a contract assassin who had murdered 42 people for money.
When Konwar was 16, he started with small thefts and robberies and progressed to vehicle thefts, murders, kidnappings, and extortion. He was detain many times but was release on bond.
Kunwor is accused of murdering renowned doctor Mridul Baruah (2006), Congress politician Hemanta Baruah (2008), businessman KL Ginoria (2012), and school headmaster DN Gogoi (2014).
Konwar also lost three fingers on his right hand 13 years ago while attempting to build a rudimentary bomb at home.
According to police documents, Kunwor was charges with seven murders, sixteen violations of the Arms Act, and 27 vehicle thefts.
