Beating a Boy to Death During the Enforced Curfew: Nagaon Police. On Wednesday night, tensions erupted in Rupahihat, Assam’s Nagaon district. After the death of a youngster allegedly as a result of police beatings during the enforced curfew.

Following the murder of Sohaib Akhtar of Gareki village, an enraged crowd surrounded the local police station. And attempting to conduct a protest using the youth’s corpse. After the crowd began throwing stones at the police station and causing damage to police cars, cops launched a baton charge.

Additionally, police officers shot a few rounds into the air to disperse the enraged mob.

According to a police officer, unlawful betting was taking place in Gareki village. That is which is part of the Rupahihat subdivision in Central Assam’s Nagaon district.

“When police stormed the location, the kids ran, and one fell into a body of water and perished,” the officer said.

Local residents, on the other hand, said that the police had arrived on a regular patrol and randomly beaten up several adolescents who were disobeying the curfew by playing cricket.

Additional police officers have been sent to the area, commanded by top authorities.
