For carrying 658gm of heroin 3 traffickers nabbed: Assam. Friday, police apprehended three suspected drug traffickers in Laharijan, Karbi Anglong district, on the Assam-Nagaland border. The trio was in possession of 658 grammes of heroin.

According to John Das, a sub-divisional police officer in Bokajan, “KH Suresh Khan (35), Lourembam Shamu Singh (46). And Md Bishabauddin has been detaining (32). They are from the Bishnupur area of Manipur.” Additionally, Das said. “On the basis of a tip, a naka (police checkpoint) was establish in Laharijan. A bus was stop, and during the investigation of the vehicle, 52 soap boxes containing 658 grammes of heroin were discover in the bus’s rear compartment”. So, “During preliminary questioning, the detained individuals disclosed that they were transporting heroin from Imphal,” Das added.
