Second Wave of COVID Hit 4 Assam Police

Assam police, who have been at the frontline of the fight against Covid-19, have been hard hit by the novel coronavirus’s second surge. Sources indicate that up until 13 May 470 Assam police checked the novel coronavirus positively in the second wave. Because of the outbreak, up to 296 people have survived while 4 people have lost their lives.

In order to impose travel constraints, the protection of caution systems, touch tracking activities, and enabling the movement of citizens trapped into the house, the State Police have been mobilized since the lockout started in March 2020 to provide a seamless flow of supply chains and services.
