Vedanta Baruah, a businessman from Assam, is the first Assamese to obtain the UAE’s Golden Visa. Vedanta Baruah is the first Assamese to be awarded a 10-year Golden Visa in the Investors category by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development.
A Golden Visa allows international nationals to live, work, and study in the UAE. Without requiring a native sponsor and with full ownership of their company on the UAE’s mainland. Golden Visas are valid for five or ten years and are automatically renewed.
Baruah is the Chief Executive Officer of Berns Brett Masood Insurance LLC. Which has offices in the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and India.
He moved to the UAE in 2006 and worked in Dubai for two years before moving to London to work for Berns Brett Group for a year before establishing the JV with Al Masaood Group in the UAE. He has a stake in the company.
As Baruah said, “It’s a proud moment for me, and I’m completely mortify by it. SO, I would want to express my gratitude to the UAE government and the Abu Dhabi Economic Development Department. My duty, I believe, has just grown.”
Baruah said the following about Assam: “I am inextricably linking to my ancestors. So, Each year, I go to Assam. The accolades I have got would undoubtedly inspire other Assamese entrepreneurs to come out and conduct business in this country.”
