Popular app Tiktok has been banned in India
The Ministry of IT Technology said that it has received numerous complaints from various sources regarding concerns about unauthorized collection of user data on servers located outside the country. This is a targeted move to ensure the security of millions of Indian mobile and internet users.
Welcoming the move, the (CAIT) Confederation of All India Traders said it was an unprecedented step and would go a long way in strengthening CAIT’s “Boycott China” campaign.
On Monday, in a major buzz, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps. Among them the most affected apps are expected to be– Tik Tok, Club Factory, Xiaomi, Cam Scanner, UC Browser because of the high volume of users.
