Centre gave 17.15 cr vaccines to States/UTs free of cost

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday said it has so far gave more than 17.15 crore immunization dosages to States/UTs liberated from cost and in excess of 89 lakh portions are as yet accessible with the States/UTs to be controlled.

The Ministry said, more than 28 lakh dosages, what’s more, will be gotten by the States/UTs in the following 3 days.

The public authority said execution of the Liberalized and Accelerated Phase-3 Strategy of Covid-19 Vaccination has begun from May 1.

The Government of India has so far gave more than 17.15 crore antibody dosages (17,15,42,410) to States/UTs liberated from cost. Of this, the complete utilization including wastages is 16,26,10,905 portions (according to information accessible at 8 am on Thursday).

In excess of 89 lakh immunization portions (89,31,505) are as yet accessible with the States/UTs to be regulated. States with a negative equilibrium are showing more utilization (counting wastage) than immunization provided as they have not accommodated the antibody they have provided to Armed Forces.
