Manipur reports 18 more deaths and 813 new COVID-19 cases

Manipur reported 813 new COVID-19 cases and 18 further fatalities due to the coronavirus on Thursday.

As a result, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in the state increased to 47,111, and the coronavirus death toll currently stands at 748.

The number of active cases has increased to 7,462. There are 7,366 civilians and 96 members of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

301 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Imphal West, 169 in Imphal East, 109 in Churachandpur, 57 in Kakching, 53 in Bishnupur, 33 in Thoubal, 24 in Senapati, 17 in Jiribam, 12 in Tengnoupal and Kangpokpi, nine in Tamenglong, seven in Ukhrul, six in Chandel, and four in Kamjong district.

Meanwhile, five people each from Imphal East and Kakching districts, four from Imphal West, two from Churachandpur, and one each from Kamjong and Tamenglong districts died on Thursday from COVID-19.
