Twitter rolls out Birdwatch fact checks inside tweets

Twitter rolls out has announced that it will begin handing out Birdwatch annotations inside tweets to trial participants. IOS, Android, and desktop. Birdwatch is a community-based software that enables users to flag inaccurate information in tweets and provide contextual information.

In January, the microblogging platform began a test-version of the program with a small-group of users in the United States.

Birdwatch Notes will have no influence on how users see Tweets or on how Twitter’s algorithm recommends content.
