Modi’s cabinet reshuffle is 27 new ministers tipped. With the all-party conference on Jammu and Kashmir concluded, the anticipated Cabinet change has regained momentum. Swatantra Dev Singh, BJP UP leader, is definite; Pankaj Chaudhary, Maharajganj MP, Varun Gandhi, and alliance partner Anupriya Patel are among the probables from Uttar Pradesh, which is heading for make or break’ elections next year.

Anil Jain of the Rajya Sabha, Ashwini Vaishnaw of Odisha, and former Baijayant Panda of Odisha are also on the list, as is Dinesh Trivedi, the former Railway Minister of Bengal. Jain is also the All India Tennis Association’s President.

There is a sizable presence from Rajasthan, including P.P. Choudhry, a former Union Minister in the Modi administration, Rahul Kaswan, the state’s youngest MP from Churu, and Sikar MP Sumedhanand Saraswati.

Meenakshi Lekhi, the New Delhi Member of Parliament, would be the lone Delhi contestant.
