David Warner handled the news of his dismissal as SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain in the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) with “respect,” according to assistant coach Brad Haddin of the club.
“He took things in a dignified manner. It came as a bit of a surprise to many when management wanted to take a new approach in an attempt to re-ignite the team. We weren’t performing at the level needed, but Davey’s handling of the situation was impeccable. He has only recently resumed his duties “On Fox Cricket, Haddin said.
Kane Williamson of New Zealand took over as captain in place of Warner. SRH played only one match under Williamson after the season was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and Warner was dropped in that contest.
Haddin, the former Australia wicketkeeper who was also Warner’s teammate in the Australian side, said that the latter just went about his business and had no reservations about taking out beverages for the players.
“I’m assuming he’ll re-enter the competition in the coming games”. He is one of the greatest players in the world at that particular style of the game. You had to observe his reaction as he approached the table. He was mingling with everyone; he was dispensing beverages. He was completely focused on the sessions, and as a result, he treated himself with a great deal of class in a tough circumstance “As Haddin said.
