Amazon India launches free video streaming service miniTV

Amazon India released miniTV, a free video streaming service, on Saturday. It will be accessible via the Amazon Android app.

According to the business, ad-supported miniTV features professionally produced and selected content spanning a variety of genres, including web series, comedy shows, technology news, food, beauty, and fashion.

Currently only on Android, miniTV will be expanded in the coming months to include an iOS version and mobile site.

Amazon also offers two online streaming services: miniTV and Prime Video.

“miniTV is totally free and does not include the installation of any additional software. Prime Video needs a Prime membership and features an array of award-winning Amazon Originals, new films, and television shows in English and nine Indian languages “In a tweet, the company said.

Leading studios such as TVF, Pocket Aces, and prominent comedians contribute to the selected material.

MiniTV will continue to include fresh and unique videos in the coming months, Amazon India said.
