Due to Covid Asus postpones Zenfone 8 series launch in India

The Taiwanese Asus brand said on Monday that its Zenfone 8 smartphones in India had been delayed because of the rise in Covid.

During these test periods, ASUS India expressed solidarity with the nation and stated that it postponed the original launch which was scheduled for this month until the existing condition was changed.

Dinesh Sharma, Business Manager, Commercial PC and Mobile, System Business Group, Asus India said: “While we were very happy to bring our latest smartphones simultaneously to the global level, ASUS India’s top priorities at this difficult period are the protection of our clients, investors, staff, and other stakeholders in the battle against this virus.

“We therefore deliberately agreed to postpone the start to strengthen the present scenario,” said Sharma.

After the condition changes the organization would reveal the new launch date.

Asus ZenFone 8 will also have two handsets — Asus ZenFone 8 Flip and Asus ZenFone 8.
