Jio and Google Cloud are teaming together to develop 5G technologies. Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Jio), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), and Google Cloud have entered into a comprehensive. Long-term strategic partnership with the objective of enabling 5G in business and consumer sectors throughout the country.
Additionally, Reliance will use Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure. Allowing its retail company to improve operational efficiency, modernize, and expand for growth. As well as provide superior customer performance and experiences.
Google Cloud will deliver a comprehensive end-to-end Cloud solution for completely automated lifecycle management of Jio’s 5G network. And services in support of Jio’s goal to digitize India via faster and better connections.
Google Cloud’s deep expertise and innovation, combined with telco-specific capabilities for security, performance, and resilience, will help Jio’s 5G service meet customer demands, Jio said in a statement. This will further solidify Jio’s position as the country’s leading network and largest service provider.
Google Cloud’s Edge Cloud architecture offers an open, highly scalable, and high-performance platform for supporting Jio. Enabling hundreds of millions of Jio customers to access the 5G service, the statement said.
Additionally, Jio and Google Cloud will cooperate to provide a portfolio of 5G edge computing technologies. That will assist sectors in addressing real-world business problems. Jio plans to develop new services in the gaming, healthcare, education, and video entertainment industries.
These services will be provided by Jio and powered by Google Cloud and will use Jio’s 5G network, software, and Google Cloud’s breakthroughs in AI/ML, data and analytics, and other cloud-native technologies.
As part of the collaboration, Reliance will also increase its computing workload for retail operations. By using Google’s artificial intelligence/machine learning, e-commerce, and demand forecasting capabilities. This would enable Reliance to expand its new commerce company quickly by using Google Cloud’s improved dependability. And performance, as well as scaling up as required to meet consumer demand.
Jio will also use Google Cloud’s scalable, serverless data analytics platform to accelerate the implementation of its data-driven innovation strategy.
