Label, Arunraja Kamaraj’s Debut Web Series Starring Jai and Tanya Hope, to Premier on Disney+ Hotstar
Filmmaker Arunraja Kamaraj’s first web series, Label, featuring Jai and Tanya Hope in lead roles, is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on November 10. The online streaming platform made the announcement today. The recently released trailer provides a glimpse into the story of a lawyer’s battle against the stereotyping of individuals based on their place of origin. Jai, in the trailer, boldly states, “If people can judge me solely on my hometown, then it is not our neighborhood that needs to be changed, but their stereotypical perception”. The series is described as a legal drama and reportedly revolves around Article 20 of the Indian Constitution.

The Talented Team Behind Label
Arunraja Kamaraj, in addition to directing Label, has also penned the screenplay for the series. The extra screenplay and dialogues are crafted by Jayachandra Hashmi. The show also boasts an impressive cast, including Mahendran, Harishankar Narayanan, Charan Raj, Sriman, Ilavarasu, and Suresh Chakravarthy. Produced by Muthamizh Padaippagam, Label features music composed by Sam C S, cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan, editing by B Raja Arumugam, and art direction by Vinoth Rajkumar.
Jai’s Remarkable Journey Continues
For Jai, Label marks his second appearance in an OTT title, following 2020’s Triples, which is also available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The talented actor has an exciting lineup of projects in the works. He will be seen in Breaking News and will collaborate with director Gopi Nainar, as well as star in films alongside Enoc and Nayanthara, his co-star from the film Raja Rani. Nilesh Krishnaa is set to direct the untitled project.
