Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar criticized the previous Congress-led government, alleging that corruption, crime, and caste-based politics thrived under their rule. He highlighted the BJP government’s focus on development-oriented politics and emphasized the progress made in areas such as education, health, security, self-respect, and self-reliance since assuming office in 2014.
Addressing a virtual gathering of government scheme beneficiaries as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Khattar emphasized that the previous government’s tenure was plagued by corruption, making it difficult for people to access various schemes. However, he asserted that the current government has implemented radical changes that allow eligible beneficiaries to access government schemes and facilities at their doorstep.
Khattar also underscored the importance of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in reaching individuals who have not yet benefited from government schemes, aligning with the prime minister’s vision of developing the nation. He urged citizens to actively participate in the yatra and take advantage of both central and state government schemes.
Discussing the government’s initiatives in Haryana, Khattar outlined plans to establish micro-industries in every block and highlighted the involvement of 65 lakh women in self-help groups, contributing to the growth of the food processing industry in the state.
Since the launch of the yatra in Haryana on November 30, over 5,000 programs have been conducted with more than 37 lakh participants, with an additional 3,300 programs scheduled for completion by January 25. During the yatra, individuals are being informed about various central government schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana, Awas Yojana, and Mudra Yojana.
Khattar emphasized the government’s commitment to developing the nation in line with the prime minister’s vision for India to become a developed nation by the time it completes 100 years of independence in 2047. He also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal experience in formulating welfare schemes for every section of society.
In conclusion, Khattar called for collective efforts to achieve the goal of a developed India and encouraged maximum participation in the government’s outreach programs.
